Jewellery Art

Inspiration Sinai

I am a jewellery designer and a social anthropologist. My creations are inspired by the artistic traditions of extra-European cultures I have personally experienced and explored during my research expeditions and design workshops in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

In my latest works nature has become an important source of inspiration to me, often in combination with narrative elements. In the earliest discoveries of artistic expression, especially in jewellery, natural resources were self-evident. Each object had an important context and a special connotation for its creators and wearers. In other words: jewellery was authentic and had a special aura.

This is where traditional and contemporary jewellery meet. Each of my hand-made objects carry an intrinsic story and emotional connotation. With this aura I intend to spark the curiosity and imagination of beholders to explore the story, take the object into their hands and adorn themselves with it.
