Toposa
Turkana
Rashaida

The Black African Toposa live in South Sudan, close to the Kenyan border. Their pastoralist culture is focused around cattle.

Jewellery is the most significant expression of Toposa identity. They love to adorn their whole body with great artistic jewellery compositions of glass beads.

The photos I took between 1983 and 2012.

Videos about the Toposa on the webpage of my husband Harald Müller-Dempf.
