Toposa
Turkana
Rashaida

The Turkana are a Black African Society living in Kenya. They are the neighbours of the Toposa, with a similar lifestyle. As their land is extremely dry, they also breed camels.

The jewellery culture is comparable to the Toposa way of adornment, but Turkana women differ in wearing significantly big bead collars weighing up to 15 kgs.

The photos I took between 1985 and 2014.

Videos about the Turkana on the webpage of my husband Harald Müller-Dempf.
